What are cookies?
Cookies are strings of text created by a server and stored on the hard disk of the computer or any device used by the user to access the Internet (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and then re-transmitted when the user accesses the Internet again. Cookies make it possible to collect information on the navigation made by the user on the website, for example to remember language preferences or the currency used for a purchase, and to suggest them on the next visit to facilitate the user’s experience. Cookies may be stored permanently on your computer and have a variable lifetime (persistent cookies), but they may also disappear when you close your browser or have a limited lifetime (session cookies). Cookies may be determined by the website you are visiting (first party cookies) or may be determined by other websites (third party cookies).
